Golden Sands has a 24-hour healthcare team of professionals to provide you with the care you deserve. Certified Health Care Aides provide most of the hands-on personal care such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, medication assistance and other services to the residents. Licensed Practical Nurses perform nursing care functions, such as injections and wound dressings. An experienced Health Care Administrator manages the day-to-day operations of Golden Sands with support from a Connecting Care Manager. Other team members assist with hospitality services, such as food services, housekeeping, and maintenance.
On-call services by Registered Nurses are provided by the Alberta Health Services Home Care program. Local physicians also partner with Golden Sands to provide on-site services. Residents are encouraged to maintain their current physicians.
Alberta Health Services provide Health Care Professionals for case management. In collaboration with you, your family, and the healthcare team, the Case Manager develops a plan of care to meet your needs and oversee the implementation and evaluation of the plan.
